MINDFOOL is:
Ernst Brandsen – Vocals / Guitar
Izanka Labots – Bass / Vocals
Dennis van den Born – Drums

MINDFOOL is a three-piece alt-rock band from Gelderland (NL) that creates music for wandering minds. Their sound is like a conversation with yourself in a confusing world—at times loud and hard-hitting, at others soft and honest.
MINDFOOL is for those who find the pace of the outside world a bit too intense; for minds that never go quiet; for anyone who feels deeply, thinks constantly, and doesn’t always know what to do with it all. The band channels their reactions to this turbulent world into their music, hoping that you might recognize a piece of yourself within it. Their previous work has explored themes like the pressure to perform, self-doubt, and insecurity. In their live performances, emotions—ranging from anger and frustration to acceptance—are reflected in the dynamic interplay between guitars and poetic lyrics about what unfolds both within us and around us.
In 2025, the band released the EP *Diagnosed*, followed by an eleven-show release tour. With a sold-out release show at Astrant Ede, a sold-out performance at De Etalage (Hedon Zwolle), and appearances at venues such as Luxor Live (Arnhem) and DB’s (Utrecht), MINDFOOL continues to build a growing fanbase—expanding their following from approximately 250 to over 1,000 this year alone. The band is currently working on four new releases, which will culminate in an EP release show at Luxor Live in the spring of 2027.
